People usually come in to see the orthodontist in their teen years, once their adult teeth have settled into place and are in need of some straightening. But sometimes children as young as seven can be recommended to us for what's called imperceptive treatment therapy.

Imperceptive treatment therapy involves wearing removable dental appliances that coax incoming teeth into the right position, and is used only in cases where we are able to predict serious misalignment.
